13. How BROUAVO Credits Work

This document aims to help you understand how the BROUAVO pricing and credit system works.

13.1 Hosting & Membership Plans

BROUAVO provides a few types of membership, not all of which include hosting credits. Here’s a quick breakdown of that first:

Full memberships – Of all our full memberships – Basic, Standard, Plus & Premium – only the Premium membership plan includes monthly hosting credits that will be applied automatically toward the total cost of any sites you have hosted with us.
Standalone hosting plans – Each standalone hosting plan includes a monthly credit which is applied automatically each month to cover the cost of hosting your site.

13.2 Your Hosting Credits

Whether you’re on our Premium membership or subscribe to a standalone hosting plan, your available hosting credits for the month can be viewed by clicking the button next to Plan on the Hub > Hosting > Overview screen for any hosted site.

You can also view your available credits on your BROUAVO Account page, under the Payments & Billing tab.

Account Credits – This indicates amounts credited or pro-rated to your account in the form of a refund, or when downgrading a hosting plan or an add-on plan, if any. These credits do not expire and are applied automatically to any due payment.
Hosting Credits (included in membership) – This is the amount of monthly hosting credit included with your hosting plan or membership, if any. These credits do not accrue, and are applied automatically to any due monthly hosting payment. Note that hosting credits (included in the membership) can only be used for monthly hosting plans and cannot be used for the payment of any annual hosting plan.
Hosting Credits (pre-paid) – This is the amount of hosting credits you may have pre-purchased during any past promotion, if any. These credits do not expire and are applied automatically to any due monthly hosting payment.
Hosting Credits (Reseller promotion) – This is the amount of Reseller hosting credits you may have received as part of our Reseller promotion, if any. These credits expire after 6 months and are applied automatically to hosting payments for sites created by your clients through our Reseller feature.
Domain Credits – This is the amount of free domain credits that you earn when you purchase a site with BROUAVO yearly hosting. These credits can be used to purchase a domain in BROUAVO. These credits do not expire and can be used to purchase a domain anytime in the future.
Webmail Credits – This is the amount of webmail credits that you earn when you purchase a site with BROUAVO yearly hosting. These credits can be used to purchase a webmail account. These credits do not expire and can be used to purchase a webmail account anytime in the future.
Proactive Monitoring Credits – This credit type is displayed only if you have any available proactive monitoring credits. These credits can be used to purchase the Proactive Monitoring service for any of your hosted sites. They will expire automatically after the specified period. You can use the credits on both new and existing sites. If you use the credits to purchase and cancel the subscription later, the credits will not be refunded or pro-rated.Note that these credits can only be used to purchase the Proactive Monitoring service and cannot be used for other add-ons (such as CDN, Storage, Hourly Backups), payments, or Expert services.For example, if you have $200 in Proactive Monitoring Credits and already have sites hosted with us, you can use the credits to purchase the proactive monitoring service for any number of sites until the credits run out, and your added payment method won’t be used.If you don’t have enough credits to cover the entire purchase, any available proactive monitoring credits will be applied, and the remaining amount will be billed to your payment method.Also, if the credits are not used during the purchase of the service, they will be automatically applied to the service renewal in the next billing cycle, unless they expire before the renewal period.

13.3 Adding Additional Sites

Whether you’re on a full membership, or subscribe to a standalone hosting plan, you can add additional hosted sites to your account at any time.

Additional Sites on a Full Membership

If you add monthly hosted sites to your full membership, any hosting charges beyond the monthly credit will be billed to your credit card each month. If you add annually hosted sites, any available account credits will be applied, and the remaining amount will be billed to your credit card.

For example, if you have one site at the Bronze level (at $12/month), and have another site on the Silver hosting plan (at $30/month), that equals a total monthly hosting cost of $42 ($12 + $30). If your available monthly hosting credit is $12, the balance of $30 would be billed to your credit card each month.

Additional Sites Added to Any Standalone Hosting Plan

Any additional hosted site you add to your account, regardless of the standalone hosting plan you’re currently on, would be created at the hosting level you select, and you would incur the additional corresponding charge each month.

If you later upgrade a site to a higher hosting plan, the monthly/yearly charge will be adjusted and pro-rated for the current month/year. Then each subsequent month/year will be billed at the full cost for the new hosting plan for that added site.
